Are you actually SLOWER in your wetsuit? 🏊♂️
Whether you’re prepping for a local sprint or a full Ironman, there is a common "speed leak" affecting Surrey and Hampshire triathletes. We put the hours in at the lake, but the race splits just don't reflect the effort.
The Reality: If you aren't gaining 7–10 seconds per 100m from your wetsuit, your technique or your training structure is broken.

Here is how we fix it:
1. The Tech Lab: Guildford Lido (Surrey) At our Group or 2-to-1 sessions, we use the 50m Lido to strip away the "pool wall crutch" and fix:
Restricted Shoulders: Stop the suit from fighting your stroke.
The "Short-Chop": Recovering momentum lost to open-water panic.
Pacing Errors: Eliminating the dreaded mid-swim "blow up."
2. Pro-Level Prep: Southsea (Hampshire) Once you have the fitness, you need the ocean skills. Our Southsea Ocean Lessons go beyond flat water:
Threshold Intervals: Real speed work in open water.
Low-Profile Sighting: Navigate the Solent without dropping your hips.
The 20% Rule: Mastering legal drafting to save massive energy for the bike.
Stop "getting through" your swims. Start dominating them.
