​How much notice do I need to give to cancel a semi private lesson?

Cancel 24+ hours before your lesson to receive a credit.
Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full. This is so that we can inform the pool provider in the agreed time frame, and the other participant.

What services do you offer?

Triathlon coaching (online plans), semi-private front crawl technique coaching sessions at Guildford Lido, open-water coaching, front crawl squad sessions, dynamic bike fitting and run video analysis.

Where are you based and do you coach remotely?

​

Based at Guildford Lido in Surrey and Local pools in Hampshire, plus we offer online coaching worldwide.

Do I need a wetsuit for Guildford Lido? 

​

We would recommend a swimming wetsuit for lessons at Guildford Lido. The pool temperature will be kept to a constant 19-20 degrees from October to May. From May to September it is 24 degrees. In Squad sessions you are allowed to wear a wetsuit as well

Do you run open-water courses? Who are they for?

​

Yes — sea/open-water technique courses and weekly ocean sessions (e.g., Southsea). Ideal for swimmers confident with multiple 200m reps who want to build confidence, navigation and race skills.

 

When and where are the Front Crawl squad sessions based?

​

Fitness & Technique Squad runs Tuesdays 7pm at Guildford Lido (May–September). Check the squad page for the current schedule.

​

Can I book a 1-to-1 lesson or a clinic?

​

Yes — we offer semi private lessons for 2-2-1 and 3-2-1 sessions (e.g. 1 coach to 2 swimmers), 1-2-1 analysis and group clinics are bookable via the online booking links.

Do you offer online (video-submit) stroke analysis?

​

Yes — you can submit video for an online stroke analysis. Details and pricing are on the Online Stroke Analysis page.

What do I need to bring to an open-water swim session?

​

Wetsuit, a silicon swim cap, open water goggles, tow float (if requested), a towel and warm layers. Some food and a hot drink for afterwards. You’ll get kit details when you book.

What level do I need to be for open-water courses?

​

Most sea skills courses suit intermediate swimmers (rough guide: able to swim 3×200m in open water and around 1:45–2:30/100m). Course pages list exact prerequisites.

How long are swim lessons ?

​

Session lengths are either 60 0r 90 minutes. We offer a single, block of 5 and 10 or any multiple in between) Footage and personalised drills are emailed afterwards with a 4 week Personalised Front Crawl Technique plan on Training Peaks for you

What are your terms & cancellation policy?

​

Do you run bike fitting and run analysis remotely?

​

Yes — dynamic bike fitting and run video analysis can be done remotely using uploaded data and footage.

Can I bring a friend for a 2-2-1 or semi-private session?

​

Yes — 2-2-1 and semi-private swim lessons are available at Guildford Lido. Check the session page for availability and pricing.

What happens if the Lido is closed due to weather?

​

If the pool closes or conditions are unsafe, due to thunder or lightning, then your session will be rescheduled or credited. If thunder and lightning occur during a lesson / squad sessions at Guildford Lido then the pool will be evacuated asap, and participants will be sheltered under a roof. 

 

Do you teach children?

​

No — lessons are for adults only.

​

Do you provide equipment?

​

I can bring spare coaching aids like paddles and fins when needed, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. We recommend fins, a pull buoy and a kickboard, especially for beginners and improvers to focus on breathing techniques. Please bring a wetsuit to Guildford Lido

 

Is parking available?

​

Yes — paid parking is available on-site at Guildford Lido.

​

Are changing rooms and showers available?

​

Yes — the Lido has changing rooms and showers open during lesson times.

​

Can I swim if I’m injured or returning from injury?

​

Please message beforehand so we can check suitability and adjust the session if needed.

 

Do you offer gift vouchers?

​

Yes — gift vouchers for lessons and analysis sessions are available.

​

How far in advance can I book?

​

Bookings open up to 30 days in advance.
