Happy New Year from Speedy Swimming! What did you do to celebrate the new dawn of your swim career?

Hi and Happy New Year from Nick at Speedy Swimming!

We hope you all had a great Christmas and avoided covid!?

As it's the New Year, you may have already been thinking about which events, triathlons, open water swims or swim / run events to do for 2022. We're here to help you keep it real, and ensure we keep you focused on your process goals instead of the longer term "Elephant in the room" type goals, which can get too big and often seem unachievable.

By focusing on your process goals which are unique to you, staying in the moment, and thinking more short term, whilst keeping an eye on the big picture ( Main A event / goal race), you'll be able to have:

  • more energy and commitment to working on areas like skills and technique and drills to improve efficiency

  • building aerobic fitness

  • improving fuel utilisation

  • optimise fat burning efficiency (the optimal fuel source for endurance events)

Thereby developing your engine so that it can rev more without less effort as the aerobic capacity is bigger - think about the effort between a 1.3 litre car and a 2.5 litre car at 70mph. The bigger car is effectively working less, and at less revolutions per minute. This is what we are aiming to develop physiologically with our bodies for endurance fitness:

Bigger engine = less effort to maintain the same speed

More efficiency = ability to move faster for the same effort as before

This is where we come in with swim video analysis for improving your front crawl technique and speed. We can teach you how to add more speed, power and stamina to your front crawl! Improve your technique, Pacing, reduce your stroke count by up to 10%, and your stroke efficiency (SWOLF score)

You'll also learn how to control your pacing, reduce drag, become more streamlined, build your fitness, and become a Speedier Swimmer!

Front Crawl Video Analysis - Do you want to learn how to take up to 10 seconds or more off your average 100 metres pace?

Then click on the link in this email, and register for your 5-course front crawl accelerator lessons in the endless pool at Tribal, in Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 9NH

https://www.speedyswimming.co.uk/5-week-accelerator-programme Pool lesson times are currently Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm, with some Saturday morning slots becoming available.

What's your why for 2022? We'd love to know which events you're doing or planning, and to be able to help you achieve them to your very best ability!

We have limited places available, and teach all levels of adult front crawl swimmers from beginner to advanced, for masters, open water swimmers and triathletes.

Look forward to seeing you soon...

Share this event on Facebook and Twitter.

We hope you can make it!

Cheers,
