A swim training plan with sessions on Training Peaks plus a tempo trainer pacing reduction plan over 10 weeks. 


The tempo trainer is a brilliant little yellow pacing device for helping you achieve your swim goals for pacing and optimising your stroke rate and arm timing! We thoroughly recommend them to all our clients, particularly in our swim squads!

Mode 1 is for pacing to 100’s of a second.

We can help you set these up and put you on a tempo trainer interval reduction plan, which effectively means using it to help you swim faster, understand your pacing better, become more aware of it, and intuitively know what your pacing feels like more, as you can't check your watch for 100m pacing when your racing!

Your threshold swim pace will need to be set in Training Peaks as a zone, from a recent time trial over either a 500m swim at 80% or 1km at 75%. From this then we can set your most accurate training zones.


This will help us to calculate your “T Pace” or 80% effort pacing, which is your 1500m metre race pace.
