About

Do you find you're constantly in oxygen debt or running out of air whilst swimming front crawl? Or not relaxed and comfortable swimming? It doesn't have to be this way! If you're not breathing in enough, or consequently not exhaling enough underwater, then there will be a build up of carbon dioxide in your lungs, creating oxygen debt and lactic acid for your muscles. If you're breathing in late, or taking a small breath in before you duck back underwater then all the above will be happening! Does this ring true for you? Then this 5 day front crawl challenge is just for you! Its free and you can repeat it as many times as you like Each day you'll be given a different drill to practice, with a video, explanation and reason behind the drill Practice these over a 25 or 50m pool, whichever you feel most comfortable using or is available. Equipment you'll need: Fins (short) A kickboard A pull buoy Goggles Fins are especially important as you're learning the basics of front crawl, or body position fundamentals as we like to call them. The fins will give you: extra propulsion, lift you up higher in the water, thereby reducing your drag and resistance, improve your ankle flexibility, reduce pressure on your arms so you can think more about technique My email address is speedyswimming@gmail.com, Mob: 07958635142 I'm an STA Level 2 swim teacher, Open water swim coach, British Triathlon level 3 coach
